About Anir

Scientist. Clinician. Educator. Artist.

I’ve been fortunate to wear many hats before founding Kitewood.

For ten years, I have worked across the drug development pipeline. Starting at the FDA developing regulatory measures for HIV diagnostics, I’ve worked with zebrafish neurodevelopment, immunlogic experimental therapies, and more!

With over 1000 hours in the OR, I am intimately familiar with aseptic and sterile gowning for both manufacturing and surgical procedures. This skillset is a massive asset for video production in sensitive HEPA-controlled environments (such as ORs and ISO-manufacturing suites).

I am currently working towards a BSN to support my surgical research interests.

As a long-time tutor and former SCHEV representative, I have maintained a key focus throughout my endeavors on instruction and advocacy, increasing awareness for educational literacy along multiple avenues.

A strong advocate for on-the-job training, I am always seeking opportunity to cultivate local talent and build strong relationships, enabling aspiring professionals to succeed.

A love of film and all things technical across my scientific career have prepared me unexpectedly for a lifelong passion of writing and directing.

I take inspiration from how reality in the world around us intersects with human emotion – the stories we tell ourselves. I hope to explore many of these stories through my works, in short and long-form.

I ultimately aspire to direct my own feature-length independent movies, supporting up-and-coming crew and talent through mentorship and exposure to reach their own goals.

What’s next?

With two short films now in post-production, I look forward to expanding Kitewood’s commercial and film production capabilities. I’m eager for the next challenge, and looking forward to hearing from you.

Let me know how I can support your growth!
